Hyster® A-series 1.6-2.0t (H001) ICE truck

Hyster® is delighted to be extending the Hyster® A-series range with the introduction of the 1.6t, 1.8t and 2.0t short models.

These models replace the H1.6/1.8/2.0FT(S) (G001) models and introduce the Hyster® A-series principle of modular and customisable lift trucks to a wider capacity range.

Model offering and features

The H1.6-2.0A (H001) was engineered together with the H2.0-3.5A (R177) range and shares many of the components and options. This series provides significant benefits over the outgoing models and more importantly a competitive truck versus other manufacturers.

H1.6A = 1600 kg @ 500 mm load centre
H1.8A = 1800 kg @ 500 mm load centre
H2.0AS = 2000 kg @ 500 mm load centre

Engines and powertrain

As with the H2.0-3.5A (R177) range, all engines are heavy duty industrial engines manufactured by Yanmar.

For all CE markets or unregulated markets, only the Yanmar 2.2L engine, in either LPG or dual fuel is available.

The H001 is only offered with drum brakes. Due to the lower weight and generally less arduous conditions these models are typically used in, oil-immersed brakes provide minimal benefit. This means that this truck is always fitted with a manual, foot engaged, hand release park brake.

Transmissions are also shared with the H2.0-3.5A (R177) range, the electronic powershift transmission being offered as standard, and with the advanced Duramatch transmission being optional.

Mast and hydraulics

The new H001 series benefits from a new mast with significantly more visibility than the mast fitted to the H1.6-2.0FT(S) models.

For a 3-stage full free lift mast, through mast visibility has increased from 206 mm to 303 mm, i.e. a 47% greater mast window. Versus competitors the mast window is 4% greater than the Linde 391 (303 mm Hyster versus 290 mm Linde) and 26% greater than the Mitsubishi/CAT/TCM/Logisnext (303 mm Hyster versus 240 mm Mitsubishi/CAT/TCM/Logisnext).

2-stage limited free lift, 2-stage full free lift and 3-stage full free lift masts are all available, together with a range of carriage options.

The hydraulic system is shared with the R177 range, so the truck is available with manual hydraulic levers, mini hydraulic levers or dual joystick controls. All benefit from load compensation, which assists the operator with faster and more consistent lowering, regardless of load on the forks.

The truck can be specified with the standard displacement hydraulic pump (CDP) or the on-demand hydraulic pump (VDP) in case the customer demands improved fuel economy and/or the application demands less heat build-up in the hydraulic system, for example if an attachment is used.

Ergonomics and operator compartment

Like the award winning R177 series, the H001 series benefits from excellent ergonomics and all-round visibility. A complete range of overhead guard and cabin options are available, including air-conditioning, sunshades and the majority of the options available on the R177.

Operator Assist Systems

All of the operator assist system options from the R177 series are available on the H001 series. These include configurable lights, the dynamics stability system, fork laser line and load weight display. Warranty and telemetry

Like the R177 series the H001 series benefits from a standard 2 year / 4000 hr warranty and comes with telemetry hardware fitted as standard.

Performance data

The H1.6-2.0A (H001) matches the performance of the outgoing H1.6-2.0FT(S) and is competitive with the leading competitor models.

Ordering procedure, availability and pricing

The H1.6-2.0A will be available to order through NOVO, using series code H001, from 27 November 2023. First production of this new series is planned for Q4 2024 and will be brought forward if possible.

SPED options can be ordered from the initial release in November 2023, but may have an extended delivery time initially.

Close off existing series

The H1.6-2.0FT(S) (G001) will be turned off in NOVO from the 31st of October 2023 due to limited engine supply. Any H1.6-2.0FT(S) (G001) that are ordered after 10th October 2023 may be required to be converted to the H1.6-2.0A series. If conversion is required CSC will be in contact to detail the conversion process and timelines.

Sales literature

The H1.6-2.0A technical guide will become available for download from the Marketing Toolkit in the Partner Portal in due course. You are also able to access print ready files through the Marketing Toolkit in order to print them locally and on demand.

Recommended Dealer Stocking Lists (RDSL)

The RDSL for the H001 will become available under the Parts and Accessories site on the partner portal, when the first trucks are ready for shipment. RDSLs indicate periodic maintenance parts and essential maintenance parts.

Periodic maintenance parts are service parts requirements for periodic maintenance based on the Service Reference Manual for this specific truck series. Essential maintenance parts are parts we recommend you keep in stock from day one.
